—— Get the voice you want
Improve Power, Range, Flexibility and Expression
This may be the most demanding time in history for people who want to learn how to sing. Along with the global pandemic of 2020, there is a wider range of genres than ever before, and all of them place unique demands on the singing voice.
In musical theater, singers must be able to sing legit, mix, belt, rock, pop, and whatever develops in the next big musical trend. Contemporary singers must be able to go from falsetto to a powerful “money note”, to a soft-spoken breathy voice, to a chatty banter. Even opera and art song are not immune because contemporary art music places more demands on the voice and artist than any previous century.
—— Empowering Success
When you have tools, you can address any challenge.
Her proven approach centers on learning from your own experience because singing is a motor skill. Just like other movements, singers learn from experiencing the movements. Using scales and vowel/consonant combinations that cause the most efficient positions, resonance, breathing and tone, you get immediate results and learn by doing, not by thinking about it.
What makes Linda’s approach different?
Decades of experience in a wide variety of musical environments, as a classical singer, faculty in musical theater, on tour with professional artists, on faculty at Berklee College of Music. But it’s not only experience that makes a great teacher. She also studied pedagogy, vocal science, and cognition, leading her to develop a powerful approach based on the concepts of register balance as developed by Herbert-Caesuri and Seth Riggs.
What will voice training do for you and your voice?
